Privacy Statement

This statement covers books.neucitepress.com, the book-publishing platform of NeucitePress.

What we collect and why

Account holders (authors, editors, reviewers): name, email address, affiliation and the material you submit — used solely to run the editorial workflow: submission, peer review, editorial decisions, production and publication credit. Reviewer identities are visible only to the editors handling the same book, never to authors. Visitors who request or purchase a chapter: the name and email you give with a request, and, for PayPal checkout, the name and email PayPal confirms with the payment — used to deliver your download link and receipt, and to keep a record of the sale.

Cookies

The site sets a session cookie required to stay signed in, and a CSRF token that protects forms. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.

Third parties

Payments are processed by PayPal (we never see or store card numbers). The site is served through Cloudflare (network security and delivery) and pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Book metadata is exposed to scholarly indexes (Google Scholar, OAI-PMH harvesters) — that metadata describes books and their contributors, not readers.

Retention and your rights

Editorial records are kept as the scholarly record requires; purchase records as bookkeeping requires. You may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask for an account to be closed and its personal data removed where the scholarly record permits: write to [email protected].
